Elsa is one of the daughters of Edith and was born in our care. She has been handled since birth and has had excellent nutrition.
Update Jan 27: Elsa is quite friendly though a bit flighty. If you surprise her she will often squeak and run. Once she is in your care, she enjoys pets and attention. Like many girls, she is happiest exploring and causing mischief. She is an alpha female so mixing her with an existing girl could be challenging.
Update Feb 22: Elsa has been responding very well to frequent attention and treating. She is much less nervous and is no longer squeaking when we pick her up.
Update Apr 13 2015: We discovered a mammary tumor on Elsa and had it removed, also having her spayed at the same time. This should vastly reduce the chance of her getting any future tumors. It may or may not adjust her alpha attitude toward other girl rats.
Update Mar 8 2016: While technically still adoptable, she's going to be two years old on the 27th so we assume she's staying with us.
