Take a look through our Adoptable Rats tab, eight new rats have been added. Four of them are boys, Hank, Mack, Crockett & Tubbs. Four of them are girls, Toy, Lola, Edith & Sherry.
I've noticed we have adopted out quite a lot more girls than boys so I'd like to take a moment and promote them as it limits our ability to rescue additional boys. Typical boy rats are much more interested in humans than the typical girl rat. They are much more likely to sit still and enjoy being petted, fall asleep on you, snuggle with you, and so on. Most of our boys are right behind my computer chair and I'll often hear bruxing behind me with one of our boys saying, "Gosh I really like being so close to you, I'm a happy rat" as I turn around and see them looking at me from a corner. Yes, boys are physically larger. Yes, they have danglers. I still really think you'll make an excellent choice by choosing a pair. Here's a boy now, hoping to meet you! (Human not included.)
